The Good Neighbour Award (GNA) is back for the third year, to recognise residents who have gone the extra mile to extend kind and gracious acts to their neighbours. After all, neighbourliness among residents builds active and cohesive heartland communities that are endearing to all.
In addition to nominating their neighbours for the GNA, primary school students can also participate in the HeartlanD Beat Art Competition. The theme for this year's Art Competition is "My Favourite Neighbours".
Take a moment to nominate your neighbours today or spend some time with your child as he/she recollects memories of their neighbours and translate them in their creative art pieces.
The nomination period for the GNA and submission of HeartlanD Beat Art Competition ends on 31 Aug 2011. Nomination forms for the GNA are available online http://www.hdb.gov.sg/heartlandbeat and at any HDB Branch Offices, Community Clubs/Centres and Residents' Committees.
