Dear people at TR, whoever you are,

Congrtaulations!

Your good work and efforts are making some people uneasy and it’s so easy to tell. From the supine reporter out to cast yur blog in bad light to some of the ignominously anonymous detractors here who are trying to challenge you to identify yourself, these minions should learn from their masters’ talk to enter the fray if they want to participate and identify themselves FIRST.

An old man is obviously shaking with trepidation now and his fears are
beginning to rear its ugly head again.

His usual modus operandi of paying media whores to stir up the issue, then slime the opponents, cast doubts on their credibility and then typecast them as bogeyman for the ignorant public to stone and perprtuate fear is all so yawning familiar, like some bad reruns on Mediacorpse. Think of Thye Poh, Soon Juan and of course the Marxist conspirators, the mainland lot which strangely he welcomes and sing praises now. He is THAT old.

With his rotting can of worms open, the accolades , which are anyway very diminished in the second book may just be all together totally withdrawn. Following which, the honours bestowed by foreign institutions, not beholden by his generosity, Kambridge in particular will also be rescinded.

I wish his son would give him one tight slap to wake him up, but maybe he never will.

It is a matter of physical social space, Temujin. By calling TR “a sleazy tabloid with mysterious editors” you are also attacking bloggersand commentators here as if they too are “sleazy” in company.

I have no reason to believe that is true. Your attack is unwarranted and presumptious.

Nearly all bloggers here or in any other publicly accessible blogging sites are anonymous by their handle or miniker including you. Why “sleaze” someone on that plane of anonymity when you are on the same wave-length? I get an impression that, despite this anonymity, most bloggers here have Singapore’s interest at heart and are Singaporeans in their heart, mind and soul whereever they resides now and true blue Singaporeans of origin never die of their nationalistic soul.

Bottomline is, like any other business transaction, respect physical social space where someone may have a compelling reason to maintain confidentiality interest of third party which you have no reason to probe since they have already left the stage platform.

In analogy, physical social space is like I buy the business from you on a walk-in walk-out basis, do I cares who was the previous owner and owners preceding you. I buy or refuse to buy what I see and get. Those other prior owners, other than you whom I am now dealing with, is irrelevant. But if I am doubtful of the your legal title of current ownership, I won’t buy.

There’s absolutely no need for the TR Editors and Contributors to “declare” who they are. They publish opinion piece and news coverage that you’re welcome to comment on just as anyone else is without fear of persecution or censorship. The same can’t be said of any other media in Singapore.

That alone makes TR invaluable to all Singaporeans who have been deprived of the right to publicly voice our concerns for the entire history of this country since the PAP have been in power.

When Wayang turn into “TEMASAK REVIEW” the name carries a lot of weight and the people response was spontaneous as it give a sense of BELONGING to our nation.

Your claim of vision were similar to Malaysian Insider and that’s when the serious minded took notice.

Let me remind you that Malaysian Insider, Malaysia Today and Malasiakinis’ Bolgs’ editors are known and their contributors are very transparent but TR remains a MYSTERY.

Hmm, once I have hope that maybe, maybe we can start to see Singaporean waking up, but after the TNP article and the responds I read from forums like fuckwarezone and etc. my hope is gone. There are still so many blind singaporean who still believe whatever being reported by MIW newspaper.

TR has every reason to thank this TNP reporter for the free publicity.

Intended or otherwise, in her zest to discredit or so she thought finish TR off for good (by relying on outdated facts and twisting it?), she had contributed to TR indirectly by helping TR to complete a puzzle which TR has been having headache for years.

TR already has a wide readership base from net-savvy singaporeans but there are still others whom have stuck to the MSM for their daily bread and TR have been unable to reach these people.

With TNP lending a helping hand and sensationalising the “mysterious” TR in the local papers, TNP have actually given TR free advertising and helped TR reach out to this group of Sinkaporeans who until today NEVER heard of it.

Whether the information put forth by TR will appeal to this group of readers or not is something the local MSM cannot control anymore once they are made aware of TR.

It will be a new source of information for this group of Sinkaporeans which will no longer subscribe to the believe that MSMs are the only papers in Sinkapore.

If TR was able to reach 20% of net-savvy Sinkaporeans yesterday, TR certainly has reached at least 50% of Sinkaporeans today.

All the male editors of TR should send flowers to this reporter and give her a kiss.
