Iceland has a population of 402,000 people, but qualified for the World Cup in 2018. At this year's tournament, Cape Verde with 530,000 citizens and Curacao with 158,006 people, both made it. S'pore which has 3.66 million citizens, should have no excuse for not ever qualifying for this competition.Well done to Cape Verde! A country whose population is roughly 10x smaller than Singapore.
If you asked the average man in the street where this place is on a map 99% probably wouldn't be able to tell you.
