The 2026 World Cup Thread

No wonder England players are so devastated. They more deserve to go finals. The coach gamble the park bus tactic that loses the match. Argentinia team wasn't good at all.
It is the same old story with England players and their coaches. They lack belief in themselves during every Euro and World Cup.

British newspaper The Times reports that FIFA will launch a disciplinary investigation targeting violent behavior committed by some Argentina players after the game.

The report says FIFA will open disciplinary proceedings against the Argentina side over violent acts by several players right after the final whistle of their World Cup final loss to Spain.

Sources stated that disciplinary procedures will be triggered automatically for the red card handed to Paredes, while the conduct of other players and staff officials will also be under review.

Paredes received a red card at full time. He first grabbed Eric García by the neck, then struck Gavi in the face. The chaos broke out when Spanish players rushed onto the pitch to celebrate. Molina threw a punch at Rodri, who then confronted him. Argentina’s assistant coach Roberto Ayala also clashed with Spain’s Dani Olmo.

Argies are the masters of the dark arts. Deservedly lost to a much better Spanish side.
Without Messi (who must surely retire now) they are mediocre side.

You do need the Mourinho style dark arts to disrupt a free-passing team. Make cynical fouls, annoy the opponents etc.
