Other than Pii Narong Wongwan who is experienced in Thailand its strange that not a single forum member in Thailand is here in this thread to comment.

Ok so I shall say something and thanks for the warning Pii Narong.

The problem in the south is very political and not really muslims wanting back their homeland, it involves mainly the Democratic Party which traditionally is strong down there, it also involves the Army and of course it has to involve the Palace as well from the very beginning. How all these are involved can only be explained over a glass of brandy, not here. Many outside Thailand will not know, many inside Thailand chose not to know although they knew.
