Telemarketers call - how do you handle them?

Lately i have received a number of insurance cold call. Its getting irritating and i just hang up when they identify themselves. How do you handle such unsolicited call ? Any ways to let them taste unsolicited call like what they do to us ?

I just found out we can register our number into a DO NOT CALL registry. The number to do so is 1800 2480771

I did my DNC 5 years ago. It is useless.
I keep getting all sorts of bookies' messages and unknown calls.
