As TKL decided to stand, I'd have to support him and vote for him and encourage others to vote for him as far as I can. It has nothing to do with being oblivious to his slim chance of winning and high risk of losing deposit. It has to do with trying to save a good result for him, but alas, it was in vain.

Bro...being oblivious was not directed at you as you had already clarified. That was towards those that are blind and supported TKL and still continue doing so despite the glaring evidence that he is not a likable person to 95% of the voters. Being loyal is one thing but to urge him on and encouraging him to commit political suicide is another thing altogether.

Politics is a journey. Taking a seat in parliament is a journey. Choosing political candidates and allies is a game and not a journey. There is always a tipping point and for candidates, it usually comes faster. Once you see the guy reaching the tipping point, you run for the hills. Forget about loyalty. Forget about advising any further.

As RandomNexus pointed out, when candidates were scarce he was an option. I am sure he would have had substantially more votes than TCB (if he spoke less) if it was a straight fight. In Simgapore, protest votes are significant aka Chua Kim Yeow votes. Tactics come into play.

You fought the good fight when I and others was dishing out the usual but when better option started to surface, you should have clarified your own position vis a vis TKL as you a public identity and a stake in the next GE.

I could not help notice that Ramseth is active in the forum discussing about mother in law, brother in law, satellite dish, Sim Lim Tower, and just about every thing except Tan Kin Lian. This guy runs from bad news faster than a speeding bullet. .
