In the novel Animal Farm, the leader Napolean (who is really a dictator) took some puppies from their parents when they were young and gave them special training and teaching.
They grew up to be fierce dogs, who are loyal to Napolean. Being isolated from the real conditions in Animal Farm, these hounds had a warped vision of that is good for Animal Farm.
It reminds me of what is happening here ..... with our scholars and generals given special training, being out of touch with the real conditions, and given positions of power.

the paper generals here are blinded by the high pay.........and prestige of being MP or minister later if they're 'loyal' enough............those that never join PAP will be loyal to PAP also............

so in case of Opposition win GE..............PAP can count on Army generals to help keep them in power...........

whether the soldiers will follow orders or not..............don't know lah.......

The 40% aren't suffering. They're just as comfortable as the 60% some even more so. The difference is that the 40% don't realise how lucky they are to have the PAP look after them. They take the government for granted.

What the 40% need is a good dose of bad governance. They'll then learn their lesson.

This guy really let Singaporean down...if not we have a better President, Tan Cheng Bock running the place, doing the check and balance.
