As I have explained, just like what MBT says, whatever course of actions we make, it is for the consideration of how to win votes. Some think that by hammering all the way at PAP will win them enough votes to get into parliament while others think that projecting a rational, gentleman, approachable image will get them into parliament.

But for you to suggest that friendly towards PAP means self interest is just too far off the mark. You mean PAP will give those who are more friendly more goodies? Nah.Goh Meng Seng

I am in particularly focus on your comment about being friendly to PAP means opposition members are for self interests. That to me, is over generalization.

Of course, any politicians must do it for self interests. Everyone also have a family to take care. I have no problems with politicians, whether ruling or opposition joining and fighting politics for self interests. But while they are fighting for self interests must also take care of the people's interest. Win win situation for everyone. :p

Anyway, no need to praise PAP already. They have too much praises till their ears are light.

I would think each oppositions has their pro n cons in manners and style. Just like in battle, you need people in the frontline who carry guns and those in the backroom to co-ordinate. No one party is capable or should be left alone to deal with the current ruling party.

Depending on invdividual party preference and capacity, strength and weakness. If all opposition are humble enough to tap on each other in their respective strength without having to judge them (even if they are not to your taste) it will be good show to fight the LEEgime. Ulitimately, there will emerge a hero or leader that all parties must agree to let him lead. He will play a crucial role (not just a leader or icon) but someone who is also respectable and able to ensure sustainable opposition powers and authority to keep PAP away.

The bottom line is, Singaporeans do not want PAP to mess up our lives again, they have done enough of damages already (especially under LHL leadership).
