Armed man robs Tampines 7-Eleven
An armed man robbed the 7-Eleven store at Block 491E in Tampines at about 5.40am on Sunday morning.
The robber, who was wearing a black full-face helmet, flashed a knife at the store assistant, Muhammad Fareez, 19, said police spokesman Humphrey Sew.
Almost immediately, Fareez was made to follow the man to the cash register, where he helped himself to $750 from the till.
The robber then locked Fareez in the storeroom and took his mobile phone before escaping.
The man was described as being 1.7m tall and was wearing a long-sleeved shirt with grey and blue stripes on the sleeves and baggy brown pants. He looked to be in his 40s or 50
It is believed that the police have retrieved closed-circuit television footage of the robbery for investigations.

I worked shortly at a Gyro place in the US and under the cash register, my boss had a 9mm. We were told to NOT TO HESITATE to use it! I never touched the thing, but my fellow workers, some were itching to, just waiting for a chance.
