中國和平統一促進會台灣代理理事長陳景泰，申請13日在台中市區舉辦全長37公里、宣傳兩岸「和平統一」大遊行，經台中市警局保安科核准後，引發社會熱議。

李毅雖已離台，但遊行仍將至。對於台中市府批准「和平統一」遊行，網民紛紛在盧秀燕臉書留言「市長，你欠台中市民一個交代」表達不滿。立委林靜儀也狠批「根本羞辱台中人」，連桃園議員王浩宇也質疑盧秀燕公然叛國。
台中市府：合法合憲 不會撤除許可
台中市警局與新聞局則先後解釋，由於「和平統一」遊行申請內容合法合憲，也無主張共產主義或分裂國土之情事，市府基於尊重言論自由，自然沒有撤銷的理由。
遊行內容不能事前審查 律師：警局依法執行
過去採事前禁止「主張共產主義或分裂國土」遊行之制度，但大法官釋憲宣告「事前審查政治性言論違憲」，不再允許欠缺明確性原則、涉及言論目的或內容的事前審查。律師徐承蔭也肯定市警局依法許可的作為。
警車幫忙開道？市警局澄清誤會一場
台中市警局重申，本次遊行依法規准駁，若當天有脫序違法之行為，將依法究辦，絕不寬貸。此外，就「警車開道」爭議，市警局澄清是陳景泰誤傳，只會派員協助一般交通疏導及維持秩序。
