張景森聽完報告後卻質疑,一個1萬2千名員工的龐大組織,擔負每年2億名乘客運輸的機構,竟然欠缺安全管理系統,「嚇壞我了!難道乘客的安全,只能靠初一、十五拜拜保平安,或發生事情後怪東怪西、怪風水嗎?」難怪台鐵整體安全無法持續提升。
然而,張景森也說,他仍肯定台鐵願意承認這件事,「算是值得鼓勵」。日前他已請求交通部督導並協助台鐵,比照航空、高鐵、捷運,建立台鐵的安全管理系統。
