Please have your head re-examined. Starting wars has always been an American specialty, because wars make America rich: MIC, weapons sales, infrastructure contractors, funding for bases, etc.
Why would China want a war? China's meteoric rise was achieved in peacetime; war would impoverish China. China is trying to win more friends in the Middle East (witness the Saudi-Iran normalization) and Africa so as to do business, trade and infrastructure to boost economic growth, now that domestic economy is moribund. That's why people who theorize that China wants to invade Taiwan soon are either lobotomized twits who have no understanding of the geopolitical situation, or agitators for the imperialists.
If you understand the Chinese cultural mentality since time immemorial, it's always been inward-looking, complacent, even navel-gazing. Trust me, China has no wish to take over the world, to take over Pax Americana. They have no wish to 'export' their form of governance (authoritarian rule/jungle capitalism) to the rest of the world, unlike the US.
All they want is to reshape the global order to benefit its own economy and people, quell unrest (Tibet, Xinjiang), protect its borders (India), and reclaim lost land (Taiwan). China has been liar since Xi Jin Ping took over. Past leaders has been lying dormant. They just want to earn their money and spend. Enjoy their wealth. But they have gotten so fucking rich at the expenses of US and Europe. They start to wonder if they can take over the world. True enough, the belt and road initiative take root. They need to take over infrastructure of the poorer 3rd World nation. They need to take over ports for their resupply of military and ports to hand over all the mineral they have gotten from these 3rd World nation.
The USa Knows that once they take over the Critical aspect of chip making. All of US company and the rest of the world would lose their pants . Then all will be over for all of us.
To see China being rich and prosperous is good. We are happy. But for China to take over, they must actually provide a better way of life then the US lead world. We don't want conflicts and wars and war mongering China.
