Serious Swee Mei Mei New Nightlife.

I'm going to bite this one.

Funeral supervisors/directors (frontline) are made up of a lot of foreigners (WP and S-passes). The reason is that Sinkies do not want to join this business due to:

1. long hours,
2. Loss of face amongst friends and relatives.

Singaporeans in the funeral business are usually supporting back end or sales. The younger generation sinkies who are in the business are inheriting it from their parents or have stuck out on their own after gaining invaluable contacts (especially among the embalmers, priests and monks) after 2 or 3 years.

How do i know? I used to work in the funeral industry for a while but gave it up due to the long hours.

Long hours and often burning weekends. People can't choose to die only on weekdays, what a surprise.

Some years back during a World Cup season, me and my ex Siam Bu was having supper at this Thai stall behind Jalan Besar stadium. TV there showing live World Cup games. We sat few tables behind. Front tables full of Lau Hero punters betting on that live game. Suddenly out of nowhere, few workers from the nearby Lavender Funeral Parlour, those Tong Aik chaps came and sat near the punters because they wanted to have clear view of the match shown on the TV. KNN many of the punters then quickly moved to other tables away from the Tong Aik workers. They probably thought the funeral chaps were going to give them bad luck. But one thing I noted, the Tong Aik chaps really have this zombie kinda looks on them.

I really respect her. Eventhough she was in the entertainment industry, she did not go further to something else (if you catch the drift).
She decided to look for new jobs. Got many rejections (because of her tattoo), yet she persevere with determination.
Again, she really win my respect.
Wish her all the best (or was it bestest?).

The lao heros shd treat them tiger, sooner or later they are coming to pick them up

I see a potential business opportunity for hipster or non-traditional funerals. Especially if the deceased is of a younger age.

The coffin dance is very popular now.

She got plenty of time to do FL with thus type of job. Nobody will suspect anything if she is out all night.
