Suzhou man cuts off testicle after fight with wife

A man from Suzhou in eastern China cut off one of his testes after a fight with his wife, reports the local Modern Bulletin.
The 38-year-old man surnamed Tang from the city in Jiangsu province went to the hospital on Aug. 3 having removed one of his testicles. He told a reporter from Modern Bulletin that he had fought with his wife because he cannot afford to buy a house on his salary of 2,000 yuan (US$326) a month. This has been a source of frequent complaint from his wife, who had said that they can only have sex once a year until he is able to afford a house.
After another fight on the same issue, Tang took a razor and physically acted out his feelings of emasculation. The doctor said Tang's self-inflicted injury will render him sterile.
