Chinese artist, 87, & wife, 38, announce newborn son, cuts off relations with adult daughter​

Famed Chinese artist Fan Zeng welcomed a newborn son with his wife, TV presenter Xu Meng.

In a statement he wrote in calligraphy, which he then posted online, Fan said he had welcomed a newborn baby boy with Xu.

He said he is overjoyed at the addition to his family.

The three-time divorcee also severed ties with a slew of family members, including his daughter.

His daughter had previously spoken negatively of her father's new relationship.

She said Xu had taken her father away and let go of long-time helpers.

The post came on the heels of speculation that Zeng's paintings and antiques, valued at over two billion yuan (S$366 million), had also been taken away.

In his post, he further insisted that all public and private matters concerning him would be handled solely by Xu, and that no one has the right to interfere.
