Will anyone here study for the sake of personal advancement ? For example, getting a basic degree or getting a Master's after years of working ?

In the age of internet, you think studying for personal advancement is still relevant ?

Personal advancement means : You study for your own sake, not for job promotion or career advancement.

Full-time or part-time studies? The opportunity cost of going full-time is a big deterrence in S'pore.

In the western world, lots of grandpas and grandmas are in university to study for the sake of knowledge. Some simply enol in course(s) they are keen on. Graduating may not be the cardinal objective.

In a nutshell, we are worlds apart.

sure, you can declare english literature as your study course in U and see how many employers will look for your skill set that you can offer...
