Stomper buay tahan MRT Maintanence at 3am in the morning

STOMPer ITISTOOLOUD was annoyed at the noise from this MRT track near Blk 414 in Ang Mo Kio at 3.22am.

The STOMPer wrote:

"The time now is 3.22am, but loud drilling, digging as well as knocking sounds are being heard.

"The sound comes from this MRT track. Apparently, MRT is doing some maintenance work on the track.

"This is becoming very disturbing. I believe it disturbs those staying around the track too.

"Can the management of MRT do something about this?

"Is there a problem? A major one? Why is the maintenance work done so regularly? It's like almost twice a week."

MRT should now start doing repairs between 7am-9am

Dear Stomper:

You should not purchase a residence close to a train track in the first place. This is one of the basic considerations when buying a home.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is why it is undesirable for property to be located right next to a MRT station or train tracks.

Buying a house next to MRT track/Stn is no different from buying house next to main road/highway -i.e noise level is high.

Only good thing is to sell such houses at high prices to PRC's and Indian FT's as they are very much noisier than the trains and traffic anyway.
As for Pinoys, anyone heard of them buying resale flats or condos?
