I don't understand Starhub,

In April they confused their long time subscribers by changing the channel numbers around.

This month they change the format of the Telescope, their TV guide which people pay for. They took out the TV schedules, the main reason people are willing to pay a subscription for this magazine.

To the management of Starthub, you deserve to go out of business

We LL no other choice. Free Market???

Cancelled my subscription to the Telescope. When I was talking to the Starthub rep I got the impression that I wasn't alone in complaining about the changes.

Even if they bring back the old format I'll not be renewing my subscription to the Telescope.

My parents are the ones reading the telescope. They are getting irritated by these changes & support the moves to cut back :)

It's not necessary to read telescope, you can find out the tv schedule by using the remote control and the tv.

After they find that they are maing less money from Cable TV .

They will impose some internet speed cap . To restrict internet users .

They will give resons such as there are more users that jammed up the internet .

Please change your plan to a faster one . Another new internet subscription plan of $80 .

Till then what are you going to do about before it happens ?

My parents find the procedure onerous. Particularly since they like to plan their viewing days in advance. Can you imagine having to scroll through each & every channel just to decide what to watch.

In Canada I can get a TV guide included with the Sunday papers. In Spore the only option is to subscribe to the Telescope. With this change I suspect my parents will reduce their TV viewing.

I'm using Singnet :)

From what I know about the green pipe is that if there are many StarHub users in your block, the Internt connection speeds take a hit if they all decide to use the internet.

no one ISP is perfect. I have used Singnet before and I constantly experienced loss of connection although it claimed to be dedicated.

The MiO thing that they use as modem is a joke and the target of constant ridicule.

Shithub, the speed sometimes is so low that playing online games become a joke.

I don't understand why one wanna subscribe to telescope - a piece of junk. Can get schedule online or from TV...latest somemore. If not, check the daily papers (also another junk publication). Gosh, we are filled with junk publications.

Been using Singnet for a couple of years.

Was having disconnect problems with Singnet & was ready to switch to StarHub cable. Before switching, I changed my modem, micro filters, cables & it fixed the problem. Something in my original setup must have worn out, modem or micro filter.

Telescope is for my parents. When you get old its hard to adjust to new ways. That's obviously something StarHub doesn't understand when they moved the channels around in April or gutted the Telescope. This problem extends to our gov't which is always changing things.

For the young its easy to adjust but must consider how hard it is for our senior citizens.

thats what u get with a virtual monopoly

sorry sinkies u deserved to get screwed by not voting correctly

Dun get mad!! Get even!! There are some cable boxes you can order online that could unlock all the Starhub channels because being cheapskates themselves they can only afford cheapo encryption!

My current Starhub box has a smart card. It must store the encryptions vaiables.

If you get a generic box, how often do you need to update the info on the smart card:confused:

Just curious, I wouldn't dare break any Spore laws. I'm a good & lawful citizen:)
