just my 2cents...mask making is no rocket science..what matters most is the availability of materials...as simple as that..mask making can be a cottage industry where more lavour is used than machines...all you need is industrial grade sewing machines used in textile or garment manufacturing..but you won't get the output in volume...and mask making machinese can be continuous or just back door type machinese..meaning whether you churn out millions or thousands ...but the big question is the avilablity of the material to make masks

Technical expertise have been over outsourced and looked down upon. Scholars get sent to study impractical subjects like philosophy, political science, management, economics etc. While the academically un-inclined are sent to ITEs to avoid gangs, teenage pregnancies and drugs. You would have thought they learnt their lesson from the SMRT maintenance episode

I would also like to congratulate you all for the outstanding work in containing the virus in Taiwan. Definitely a true gold standard which the rest of the world including Singapore can learned from. I know how you all must have felt for being robbed of this recognition by WHO. Finally do not judge us from the behaviour of one poor upbringing citizen. It is not about Singapore, but a bunch of useless Scholars and Paper generals with no business exposure and can't think out of the box. You will see more of those people being introduced at your doorsteps this coming GE.

This ties in with my anecdotal experience with local engineers. 99% engineering graduates of NTU are useless. 99% of engineering graduates of NUS are ballsless and gutless to speak out.

That is why there is no single brand of world-class worth mentioning in Singapore that rose from humble beginnings.
