S'pore man, 37, allegedly punches & kicks Pasir Ris bar staff over bottled water price
Permanently banned.

A Singaporean man has been banned from a bar in Pasir Ris after he allegedly attacked a staff member for "no reason".
According to Jyu Yae Bistro at E!Avenue, a man "acted aggressively with no reason" towards one of their staff members on Dec. 9.
In the Instagram post, the bar uploaded a video of a man in all black, appearing to speak to a member of staff.The man then hooked his leg around the staff and took him down to the ground before he kicked the staff multiple times.
When other members of the staff rushed out to help their co-worker, the man walked away.
The bar stated that violent behaviour will not be tolerated and that they have already filed a police report.As for the staff member, the bar shared that they are currently receiving medical care in the hospital.
Banned
The man has since been permanently banned from Jyu Yae Bistro and all other brands under Jyu Concepts, citing repeated behaviour."Due to previous repeated behaviour concerns involving the same individual, all brands under Jyu Concepts (Jyu Yae, Jyu Lae, and Jyu Gae) have taken the decision to permanently deny this person entry into all our establishments. This measure is necessary to protect the well-being of our staff and customers," said the bar.
Speaking to 8World News, the bar's marketing director was informed of the incident by an employee.Other staff present at the incident said that the man had suddenly attacked and kicked the employee over the price of a bottle of water.
She shared that the staff went to collect the bill from the man. Upon discovering that the bottle cost S$2.50, not S$0.20 as he thought, she said he suddenly attacked her staff.
She told 8World News that the man "behaved like a thug", and when other customers from other bars came to see what happened, he apparently taunted them.
The bar has filed a police report.Responding to queries from Mothership, the police said they received a call for assistance at 1 Pasir Ris Close. A 23-year-old man sustained minor injuries and was conveyed conscious to the hospital. A 37-year-old man is assisting with investigations. Police investigations are ongoing.
