Chow Ang Moh's GPS system was since 1973 had no significant improvement. And implemented Stupid SA (selective availability) to delibrately sabotage accuracy until Mr. Playboy Clinton abolished it. Chinese BDS is most advanced and accurate system today, with world unique 2-way user communications which you can globally send and receive SMS via BDS-3. Advanced Atomic Clocks on-board are so accurate that are guaranteed accuracy within mill-seconds after centuries when the satellite designed lifespan only 1 to 2 decades. hundreds of times more accurate than Chow Ang Moh's technology.

Today Xijinping launched another 2 BDS satellites within a single rocket GPGT! Chow Ang Moh whole life time also won't be able to catch up!

(Science and Technology) China successfully launched two Beidou No. 3 global networking satellites

At 12:23 on October 15, China used the Long March 3B carrier rocket (and the expedition No. 1 upper level) at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center to successfully launch the 39th and 40th Beidou navigation satellites in a "one arrow and two stars" manner. According to reports, the two satellites belong to the medium-circle earth orbiting satellite and are the 15th and 16th satellites of the Beidou 3 system in China. SPACE RACE: When American Spaceships failed they BBQ their NASA boys & Girls! When Russian Spaceship failed their ESCAPE SYSTEM WORKS PERFECTLY!

Yesterday there was an unsuccessful launch of manned Soyuz mission. The rocket broke in pieces, but the crew managed to eject using the special Launch Escape System. What is this system? Here is the story. (Red arrow shows where is this system is installed on the Soyuz rocket).

Cosmonauts sit below this system in the wide part of the “cone”. The Launch Escape System or LES can save the crew during any stage of the flight. However the most dangerous part is the launch itself (just like your electric bulb is usually blows when you turn the lights on).

So during the launch the LES can take the crew and carry it away from the troubling rocket, away from the explosion.

The LES system has its own engines. Those engines get switched on 20 minutes before the main rocket engines ignition. If there is a need to activate the Emergency Escape it’s done from the ground, from the flight control center. There is a special “codephrase” that two launch officers know. They must hit the LES activation button simultaneously at same time. Usually it’s a name of some geographical location, for example “Ural”. If the officers hear this word they press the button and LES gets activated. Same way the procedure stays unchanged for 50 years.

This is how the system works during the launch (a small flame on top of the rocket is LES being ejected from it).

And the most dangerous thing during LES escape is not the explosion but the high g-force overload acting on cosmonauts bodies. Yesterday they said the g-force was 9g. It’s a high g-force for an untrained person but for pilots its doable. Nobody was hurt. However back in 1975 Russian cosmonaut Sergei Lazarev (on photo above) got into LES escape and then he received 20G g-force (some say it was 26g!). He almost died, his heart has stopped but he survived, however his career ended there because his health suffered greatly as a result of high g-force.

This is a rocket scheme and the top most item (in the spire) is the LES system, right above the cosmic ship in a cone.

The first successful test of LES was in 1967. It was a success and since then it’s installed in any Soyuz rocket.
Here is a video of Soyuz LES in action:

And one more video:

However not only Soyuz rockets got these systems. American Apollo ships had those two. Here is a video about Apollo LES:

Modern space ships and rockets from private companies also got those ones.
Here is a video about Blue Origin from Amazon founder Jeff Bezos:

And a “Dragon” LES system from Elon Musk:

Also the one from Orion space rocket:

Fun fact: Soyuz escape pads have two modes “normal” – when it gets ejected and then ascends normally with parachutes, and “extreme” – it’s when it gets ejected and then its own engines go full throttle trying to bring it as far away from the crash site as possible – this mode causes the most high g-force over 20s.
Also, if the mission hasn’t failed and space ship goes into orbit as planned the Escape Pod gets discarded and thrown away into space as a piece of unnecessary equipment that nobody wants to carry to the orbit, then it burns in the atmosphere.
