The Govt should take a deep and closer look.... Loss of Nationalistic spirit.

20 years ago, I was truly nationalistic and will shed every blood to protect my soil..
Now, 20 years later, in a crowded MRT, I sometime think I am in a foreign land.

Now I do not have the strong reasons to defend our homeland..

This is one aspect, the HEN guy must look into...No point pouring billions into hardware when the people heart is full of doubts and the soldier is unsure what are they fighting for...

were majority of NS men really motivated to serve and protect the nation in the old days or majority of Singaporean males simply viewed the NS as a waste of time from then to now ? i think it's the latter.
