So the bottom line is - How bad is it in Singapore?

Is everything gloom and doom or is it just Hype?

When I come will I see a situation like 1997 or are things better in your Opinion?

Are the restaurants deserted? Is Orchard Rd empty? What's it really like now?

Thank you all for your responses. It would seem the biggest complaint from all is the influx of FTs into Singapore. I will need to see this for myself.

Recently one nephew got laid off from his Banking job, but it seems he was able to get another one quickly, so hopefully the economy is not as bad as it seems.
