I'm more of a technocrat than a fascist but I think we have more things in common than other ideologies. Both are hierarchical, illiberal and collectivist. The difference is that of legitimacy. Technocrats like Angela Merkel exert their authority for the common good while fascists like Kim Jong-Il and Lee Kuan Yew always seem to use the "common good" as a guise for their selfish pursuits.

The NTUC was started in thr 60s as a stooge of the PAP. At that time there was another true union called SATU. But PAP deregistered and proscribed it, because it was controlled by the left wing led by Lim Chin Siong and later the Barisan Sosialis, who really stood up for workers' interests. To this day, NTUC has remained as nothing but the cats paw of the PAP to thumb down the members. The PAP has banned and forbade all other unions.
