BANGKOK: The Thai cabinet on Tuesday approved the purchase of 10 Chinese tanks worth US$58 million to replace an old U.S. model, a government spokesman said, the second of three planned purchases of 49 tanks from China.

Thailand ordered 28 tanks from China last year.

"These tanks will replace the M41 tanks, which are small and old," Sansern Kaewkamnerd told reporters.

Relations have been strengthening between China and the United States' oldest ally in Southeast Asia, particularly since ties with the United States cooled after a 2014 coup.

In January, the cabinet also approved 13.5 billion baht (US$380 million) to buy a submarine from China and is considering buying three more.

Elsewhere in Southeast Asia, Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has boasted of his new friendship with China as he has talked down the relationship with the United States, despite a longstanding territorial dispute with Beijing.

A U.S. Navy aid unit has also been told to leave Cambodia, the U.S. embassy said, in a new sign of the country loosening links with Washington as it strengthens ties with Beijing.

　　前不久，沙特国王访华，土豪一下子就和中国签署了650亿美元的单子，占豪将这次访问视为沙特的一次重大战略调整，而沙特这次和中国军工企业不但签了民用合作，还有军工合作。最新消息显示，土豪沙特访华一口气买了300架“彩虹4”无人机，由于沙特还要引进彩虹全系列的生产线，据说合同额高达百亿（存疑）。如果真的如此，那可真的是一笔大单。

　　沙特之所以购买这么多“彩虹4”无人机，根本原因有三：
　　操作员锁定目标，准备摧毁
　　厂房内的“彩虹”-3

　　一、沙特购买这样的武器，说明中国和沙特在政治上彼此是信任的。

　　二、“彩虹4”的确便宜优质，伊拉克打击IS的利器。2015年，伊拉克仅仅用一架“彩虹3”无人机就打掉了IS一个据点，费效比太高了。彩虹系列无人机中国在中东、北非已经有了不少客户，沙特可能是未来最大的。

　　三、只有中国会如此低价给生产线。去美国买“捕食者”无人机，不但价格高，美国绝不可能给生产线，但中国可以，而且价格便宜。

　　最近，中国出口到中东的军事大单还不止于此，据外媒报道，一个阿拉伯国家已经与中国精密机械进出口总公司签署了“红旗-9”远程地空导弹合约（出口型的称FD2000）。这款远程地空导弹性能堪比俄罗斯的S300，但价格却便宜不少。但是，像这么高级别的武器，合同额动辄就是几十亿美元。阿拉伯国家谁能出得起这个钱？无非就是沙特、卡塔尔、阿联酋这样的国家，所以不能排除“红旗9”也是沙特买走的。

　　之所以说有可能是沙特，原因是最近也门胡赛武装好像从伊朗获得了制造导弹的能力，虽然精度差，但对沙特依然是威胁，有了“红旗9”就能防胡塞武装的导弹袭击。

　　其实，最近几年中国军工出口增速很快，包括最近泰国也要购买中国的潜艇，未来伊朗、沙特等中东国家都将是中国装备出口的大户，沙特未来很可能购买中国的主战坦克。沙特从德国购买豹二坦克单价高达1500万美元，这样的价格可以买中国的99式主战坦克3辆，甚至配置比豹二坦克还高。

He said Cameroon had received four Harbin Z-9 attack helicopters from China after Beijing offered a US$100 million loan last year, but one of them had crashed soon after being handed over. Cameroon was still negotiating with China over the accident and had no any plans to buy any more Chinese weapons due to quality concerns, Chang said.

Chinese arms manufacturers may find it even more challenging to make sales following the reported failure of Chinese-made C-705 anti-ship missiles to hit their targets during an Indonesian exercise in September that was watched by Indonesian President Joko Widodo.

IHS Jane’s reported that two C-705 missiles failed to hit their targets after being fired from two of the Indonesian navy’s KCR-40-class missile attack craft during the large-scale Armada Jaya 2016 exercise in the Java Sea on September 14.

While chinks have been credited with many military inventions, they have often gotten their asses whipped by their backward neighbours. Even the Burmese have beaten the chink armies on several occasions.

Beijing should actually send down to Pyongyang on urgent basis their new anti-stealth radars and missiles to defend Nuke & missile sites and Kim Jong Nuke's premises, as Ang Moh Trump is now eying to bomb.
