A man who used Facebook social networking accounts to lure victims into buying cameras from his false shops was jailed for 14 months today for cheating and other offences.
Former sales assistant Gary Sim Kaifeng, 22, set up a number of accounts on Facebook and configured them to appear to be on-line shops, posting photographs of various items such as women's clothing, mobile phone casings and Polaroid cameras.
He had none of these items for sale.
The accounts he used were named Redsnow Closet, Jennifer Paradise, Lovely Paradise, Kimiyo Casing and Fel Says.
