Brother 2 - RADM Ng has a sibling in the top rungs of the military: Major-General Ng Chee Meng, 43, the Chief of Air Force.

Brother 3 - They also have an elder brother, Major-General (NS) Ng Chee Khern, the former air force chief. He now heads the Security and Intelligence Division.

They are well-fed and never allowed to stay in uniform for too long before being parachuted into GLCs, stat boards or politics.

Looking at the ages, the RSAF MG will most likely be the next CDF. No way they will let Ravinder Singh, a non-Chinese govern the SAF. Brother 3, the young RADM should never have been RADM of the Navy. Should have been Bernard Miranda, the anti-piracy task group chief.

Ng Chee Peng was Ting Pei Ling's husband's classmate in RI. Chee Peng was the top boy of class... all the way from Sec 1 to Sec 4.

SID used to helmed by a non-military person. That way, the government will always have two perspectives ...one from the military, one from SID. Since SID is now another military outfit, the tunnel vision has won.

So, why bother to have two intelligence department? Let the military run the show and save money by doing away with SID.
