Spanish league is probably the best of them all.
Just look at Spanish clubs performance in Europe's competition.
This year champions league final is case in point.

If you have a seven game series (like American sports) between the Spanish league teams and the English league equivalent, e.g. seventh place play seventh place, it is likely that the series outcome would be:

1. Atletico Madrid defeat Man City
2. Barcelona defeat Liverpool
3. Real Madrid defeat Chelsea

But also likely that Arsenal will defeat Athletic Bilbao in their series, and the 5th to 20th place English team also likely to win their series.

Of course national teams are made up of the best players from the best teams, so Spain will probably also win their series against England.

Where have you been? Now got 3 teams.

Sadly, PL will be in for a rude shock when his Valencia drops like a rock next season.

If a club can so easily be bought like Valencia, it is probably a bum deal. You think PL can buy Liverpool? He can wait long long. All the good potential clubs are either gone to the Middle Easterns or the Americans. We can take all the Cardiffs, the QPRs, the Birminghams,... the kind that are thrown into the rubbish.

Happened to watch a Valencia match a few weeks ago.

Philippe Senderos was starting for them at centre back. He was released by Fulham on loan to them. Deemed not good enough for Fulham, a BPL club which was eventually relegated but deemed good enough for Valencia, supposedly one of the better La Liga teams.

Good players won't go to middle of the table teams unless $$$$ is there. That is a fact. Unless PL throws in another 700m to entice players, Valencia can only attract the newbies or the has-beens.

(Reuters) - Spain's all-time leading goalscorer David Villa will play a three-month stint with Manchester City-owned Australian club Melbourne City before returning to New York City FC for the start of the Major League Soccer season.

The 32-year-old, who hopes to help Spain defend their World Cup title in Brazil this month, will turn out for the club formerly known as Melbourne Heart between October and November, the A-League team said in a statement on Thursday.

"From a football point of view, it’s the opportunity to play in a new league in a different country, and of course it will be ideal for me to get some competitive football in the period before the MLS season gets under way," Villa said in the statement.

The City Football Group earlier on Wednesday confirmed a long-mooted name change for the Melbourne club, bringing it in line with the Premier League team and sister club New York City.

In its fourth and final season playing under the name Heart, Melbourne finished bottom of the 10-team A-League.

Valencia didn't look too bad when they came from one goal down to beat Benfica 3-1 in the pre-season Emirates cup.

Bytheway I thought the only link that PL has to ManU is that he is a fan.

Peter Lim's Valencia is playing Man Utd tonight.....manu also got links to PL.
Expect some unexpected results

Man U players took their games seriously even though it's just a friendly because LVG is finalizing his first 11 for the BPL.

For their defeat to Liverpool, Dortmund does not want to risk injuries ahead of their Cup final clash with Bayern Munich on the 14.08.2014

6th place in La Liga should be able to clinch a europa league spot, if the cup winners is one of the top 5 teams. Valencia likely to finish between 5th and 10th.

Peter Lim's purchase of Valencia is a big slap on the faces of FAS key personnel. He could have supported local soccer by sponsoring a club or even FAS. He chose not to but invested 700million on a club thousand of miles away. Why? Makes FAS look bad.

The answer u can find on Prime Time TV Channel 5 or Okto, 8 pm on Friday where u can see 2 unknown teams kicking the ball around with little or no spectators.

As a businessman will u throw money there.???
