I wonder if that got anything to do with our world most expensive government?
But didn't we just win some cheesy award for most competitive nation in the world??
One reason for being competitive is exploitation of low wages foreign workers, displacing locals.
No other country dare do that without political backlash but hey, this is Singapore and the Gov will take care of us from cradle to grave, at least 66% think so.
When it come to rewarding themselves, they claim the top spot in world standard, Words like "Competitive, Prudent and reasonable" are replaced by words like "Market rate, Sacrifice, Private sector benchmark"
It's a case of a small group of Greedy, Shamless people leading a large group of Greedy, coward people.
