[Singapore] - Singaporean man miserable after losing Sg$2.2mil of his own money setting up a Jap restaurant which failed

Does not know how to run a restaurant better to be do food delivery instead.

This guy shouldn't call himself a businessman if he doesn't know how to read the market. Setting up a super high end Jap restaurant in sinkieland were 95% of customers can't taste the difference between imported Japanese tomatoes and Malaysian ones..? What's the point of using all the super expensive airflown ingredients when our local palates aren't familiar with authentic Japanese tastes??

This guy has lost sight of the big picture in his obsession with "perfect" ingredients. He should be a starving artist rather than a miserable businessman

In my opinion, he should forget about setting up a Japanese restaurant, but instead switch to a Japanese izakaya instead. Focus on a few side dishes and make them excellent, but the main focus is on the beverages.

Of course, do it after the pandemic is over.
