actually i still prefer policeman then security cameras.

security cameras ONLY good when the crime have been commited they can rewind and view the footageby then the crime already been commited and life might be lost.
while if there policeman on the road or doing their round around hdb flats that will deter people committing crime.

I believe they started using cctv in london first to nab pickpockets and shoplifters, football fans who are trouble makers etc that was in 1970's and 80's and that operation has expanded to cover just aouut all parts of london.

But nowadays with masks on, how to facial recognise the culprit
