At least $8.5 million lost in 1 month to Phishing Scam involving a local bank. There are few things to talk. Take 3 to talk. 1. Why only release the news to the public on 30/12 when some customers have reported to the bank as early as 8/12? Early warning can alert other customers to fall into the scam. 2. Why the bank is not responsible to return the lost money when customers trust the money to the bank? Customers are careless? Are customers really careless? Why not say the bank is careless in not telling the customers earlier? 3. the bank really will not send messages with links to click? Most customers have received this sms from the bank before - Please visit ocbc.com/activate ("ocbc com/activate" is a link) your new credit/debit card Question? Call xxxx.

Banks will not return the lost money unless they are proved negligent. Besides their false claims that they won't send sms to ask their customers to click the links and which they will, they have failed to cap the daily withdrawal limits. It has reported that one customer lost more $12k at one go
