I know a Malaysian couple - husband is an engineer and wife is a teacher - who owns a landed home and 2 cars in Penang. They have a far better quality of life than a similar PMET couple in S'pore.

Alamak, I have been to the coldest places and the hottest on Earth.
Singapore is ok. I say Malaysia is better.
But the best is my village by Lake Victoria Ugandsa.
But nobody believes me

it is bearable in march at 77f from dusk to dawn with warm but breezy mornings and afternoons. the problem is the haze. air quality sucks big time with non-stop nightly burnings across the straits. at this rate, majority of sinkies will develop lung cancer.
