Is Singapore tap water still safe? Usually I just fill the ice cube tray with tap water. But a friend tells me better use boiled water from now onwards to make ice because there may be the coronavirus in our tap water. Is it true?

sg tap water is heavily chlorinated. and it’s very acidic. i conducted measurements annually with litmus strips, and depending on where you are ph levels can be from 5.5 to 5.9. any level above 6.9 is desirable.

water cannot drink ... fud cannot eat ... air cannot breathe ...

lidat how? ...

Don't overthink. We guys only have tap water to drink during our army days and we still survive till today.
You cannot build up a strong immune system if you keep living your lives too sterile and sanitized. That's why we always hear of Sinkies having bad stomach when overseas. Our immune system are the weakest in Asia.

Dont worry lah.
Bye... going to make my 3rd tray of ice cubes with Ribena.

how long does chlorine decay the virus?
first of all, there’s hardly any human or animal cell in the water for virus to latch on to and replicate. 2nd, if water runs through reverse osmosis with ultraviolet light in the process virus should get destroyed quickly like in 6.9 seconds. heavy chlorination will do the rest of the cleanup.
