Businesses should adopt best-sourcing, not cheap-sourcing. Employers should upgrade skills and jobs, not just rely on more foreign workers. Unions should mobilise workers to work smart, not just work hard

Best sourcing was a word used as far back as 2000 to mean you either in-house or outsource for competitive rates. It was used as a way to justify cheaper sourcing. If anything, the correct new buzz word should be wise sourcing, which takes into account of full costing over the function of time. Idiots like him only know ejaculatory costing, super short term song in the budget books - typical of people who do not know anything about value of money. More paid in the short term could mean less infrastructural breakdowns and less negative multiplier in operation to the GDP for the future. It is also known as buying insurance. There is a difference between using galvanized iron and stainless steel as there is between using unverifiable and uninsured chinese parts for the some infra systems that have no recourse internationally. It is getting warmer aint it. No worries, it ain't hell for the common man in Singapore.
