I ran into my first love lately.

I was so happy to see her, hahaha it was really comforting to know that she put on weight like me. Confidentially, I went over to say hi. I thought that she might be as happy to see me again after so many years.

I texted her the next day to ask how she had been? She told me was having lunch and will reply me later, which she never.

I guess she just don't want me to disturb her, or perhaps it is just to shameful for her to be associated with me.

Speaking of bumping into old GFs, this is the one time I will always remember. She was my favourite and I was living overseas then.

Met my old lover in the grocery store, the snow was falling Christmas Eve. I stole behind her in the frozen foods, and I touched her on the sleeve. She didn't recognize the face at first, but then her eyes flew open wide. She went to hug me and she spilled her purse, and we laughed until we cried. We drank a toast to innocence, we drank a toast to now. And tried to reach beyond the emptiness, but neither one knew how.

The beer was empty and our tongues were tired, and running out of things to say. She gave a kiss to me as I got out, and I watched her drive away. Just for a moment I was back at school, and felt that old familiar pain. And as I turned to make my way back home, the snow turned into rain. :p

I ran into my ex love in the train a long long time back, I sense a presence & recognise a silhouette; these are the things in life, as in senses you can't explain, the instinctive reaction; that makes you turn & look. She happened to stand not far from me, with a buffer of people, age a bit, still with the same look, now with a son...but that old familiar feeling just come over you...I could go over & say "hi"..for it was crowded..

Like I had mentioned...the instinctive feeling of sensing something or someone familiar, especially someone, whom one had been close with for sometime...in the past..

Same here. I first got to know his songs in 1981 when The Innocent Age was released. I was blown away. What a fantastic voice, and such meaningful lyrics and beautiful melody. I like "Leader of the Band" (written for his father) and "Same Old Lang Syne" (for a lost old love) the most from that album. Actually, almost all his songs are gems. Was sad to learn he passed away in 2007.
