Anyway the ban area is too big. No reason why coffeeshops along jalan besar cannot sell beer as most of the customers there are not ah nehs. And why the hotel cannot serve alcohol drinks to thier customers inside it premises since the price is out of range of the ah nehs.

Drinking/alcohol always have it's negative social externality. But it's a necessity! The revenue that govt can earn far exceeds the social issues. They can't bear to see money dropping out of their pockets
