No pork no lard can? Should be cheaper.

No pork for kosong, and any lard is optional and has to be specifically requested for. Otherwise, default kosong = no pork, no lard.

If you mean you still want prawns and sotong but just no pork no lard, yes most stalls will allow you to request for this.

But you're a proudly self-declared non-muslim malay, you're free to eat all the pork you want.

Two years. That's the maximum this stall will last.

Dumbass younger hawkers need to learn the hard way that media hype and good vibes will not sustain the business.

When in Singapore I always say no prawns, no seafood but I get charged the same price.
I think the hawker must be thinking this handsome guy not from Singapore so can charge him more.

This is budget hokkien mee without the extras. 555
At least the hawkers tell you in advance that it is 'kosong', and not try to pull a fast one when you pack home 5 packets of bak chor mee from Ghim Moh Hawker Centre, and end up with this shit for $4 per packet!

For $4 ,the hawker added in 1 piece of cabbage and 5 pieces of minced meat.:roflmao:
I took that photo and returned to the stall later. The hawker claimed that her husband is old and forgetful so he forgot to include the ingredients. She tried to scam me by claiming that the mee costs $3 while her ingredients cost $1 per packet, so she offered me $5 off on my next visit! I insisted on a cash refund of $5, even though the ingredients probably cost $3 and the mee $1 per serving.
