[h=2]Indian expats use Hindi in corporate meetings[/h]

As a Singaporean, I agree with Dr V. Subramaniam that the attitudes, values, perceptions and practices between expatriate and Indian Singaporeans differ (“Yawning gap between Indian S’poreans and new Indian expats“; Wednesday).
I used to work for a Singapore public-listed company that was run by Indian nationals. The top management staff were from India, while the lower-level jobs were done by Singaporeans.
The Indian expats in the company always spoke in Hindi during meetings, despite the presence of Singaporeans in the room, and despite our reminders to speak in a language common to all – English.

LOL..LOL.. Picha Lobang ahh.. Seems like the dad was ashamed of his family's Southern Pariah Land roots until he had to lie to the rest of the neighbours to hide his family's true background..:o
