He may have brought along a few family members but he also injected millions into the local economy.
He bought a Ferrari and the Ferrari salesman would have earned a big fat commission. This commission would then be spent in the local economy.
He also went to nightclubs regularly and I'm pretty sure he blew 4 to 5 figures each time... again a huge cash injection into the economy.. the nightclub staff... the liquor importers... etc.

Your theory is wrong. He went to the nightclub regularly is because he is one of the partners. Also he spends more time in Hong Kong than in Singapore. On average he spends about 5 days there and 2 days here per week. He is not injecting funds into the local economy but rather milking it and bringing it back to HK.

Why are you so callous arguing over who contributes to the economy?, the lowly sweeper is contributing too, are you going sing the song that the rich are subsidizing the poor? He had killed a sole bread earner of a family who was also contributing to the economy & the Japanese woman, who as a tourist or working here is contributing too.
