Why Eating Durian Causes a Sore Throat/Cancer

Many people wonder why they experience a sore throat or a sensation of "heatiness" (inflammation) after eating durians.

To protect their crops from birds and squirrels, some unscrupulous farmers treat durian flowers and soil with heavy amounts of banned pesticides. This aggressive chemical use eliminates local wildlife from the plantations. When you experience a sore throat or mild fever after eating durian, it is your body reacting to the toxic chemical residues accumulated inside the fruit.

In major producing regions like Malaysia, an estimated 99% of commercial farms rely heavily on massive doses of herbicides and pesticides. This has caused an ecological disaster, killing off local wildlife and natural undergrowth.

The trade is heavily influenced by illicit networks and syndicates that oversee everything from toxic cultivation to smuggling and retail distribution.

For a safer and healthier alternative, you can consider wild jungle durians from various parts of Indonesia. Because these fruits grow naturally without chemical interference, they do not cause throat inflammation or "heatiness."

This heaty experience happened before pesticides were used, it happens even for organically farmed durians

Durian Bukit and durian kampong but very difficult due to huge influx of squirrel, musang need to shoot them dead

It is due to detoxification. When one consumes too much toxins, the body will just detox automatically. It applies to other food one consumes as well, not just durians
