Yesterday was like all hell broke loose. Those ah nehs all went out in droves. Flooding the train stations, pavements and everywhere else.

Walked past Jurong Point whereby it is connected to the Boon Lay bus interchange. One ah neh sleeping dead drunk on the floor. Smrt security tried waking up the stupid bugger, he took 2 minutes to stand up...stumbled a few steps and laid dead drunk at another spot. Damn fail!

In Singapore, it's illegal under Chapter 184 Section 18:

Any person who is found drunk and incapable of taking care of himself, in any public road or in any public place or place of public amusement or resort, or in the immediate vicinity of any court or of any public office or police station or place of worship, shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $1,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one month and, in the case of a second or subsequent conviction, to a fine not exceeding $2,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 months.

Police power of arrest under Section 40(1):

Subject to the provisions of this Act, any police officer may arrest without warrant any person offending in his view against any of the provisions of this Act, and take him before a Magistrate’s Court to be dealt with according to law.

There should be police arrests for disorderly behaviour especially near public transport points like bus interchange or MRT stations. This is grossly unacceptable. What are the police doing? Haul these bunch of drunk trouble makers to prison immediately for threatening the public peace! This is what the law is intended for.
