As we age, we are not going to spend much money on clothing and shoes anymore, but more on experiences which include travel and food. A nice meal at an expensive restaurant once in awhile is alright.no money to makan there siah .... its like burning away SGD in the 7th month ....![]()
They own several shops and properties and comfortably have a gd life styleThe landlords' children will inherit those properties and continue the cycle. That is how the rich replicate themselves.
I had lunch at Ivins at Binjai Park recently at 12 noon on a weekday, and the place was quiet. There were only 2 tables occupied, and by the time I left at slightly past 1 pm, only 4 tables were occupied. Unless this eatery attracts a sizeable crowd on weekends and weekday nights, it will soon have to relocate. I recall a time when diners had to queue outside for a table even on weekdays.I’ve seen a few neighbourhood spots bounce back once the community rallies around them, so a little noise can go a long way. I try to mix things up by supporting places I enjoy, whether it’s a cosy hawker stall or even a korean restaurant like Boda that I visited on a trip and really liked. A small group showing up regularly can make a bigger difference than it seems.
Got better places to eat. The eatery looks out and too expensive for their variety of food.
