I find it amazing that despite the SAR in Middle-East, China, etc. None of them has come into Singapore. Is our prevention really that good?

the chink-killing sars killed a bunch in sg. you forgot. the arab-killing mers haven't arrived in sg yet, but it's a matter of time.

it depends on whether mers-cov kills off only persons of middle eastern heritage. if chinks and ah nehs get killed too, then i'll cancel my vacation to sg.

I'm not surprised if it is true. TTS is next door to Mount E & many expensive condos. If another outbreak were to occure I can imagine Spores medical tourism would be impacted & those living in the Novena area would move

They won't report it for the first few cases ...don't want to scare tourists off.

I suspect that the first cases will appear in Malaysia, if it has not already happened. You can bet the Malaysians will put a lid on that because of the huge number of Arab tourists there.
