Samsung GS4 to be sold in Singapore this month for S$998

$1000 for a phone with a cheap plastic shell and a "novelty" feature (touchless controls) that don't even work properly? Hell no!!!

The HTC is a much better deal, design-wise. Aluminium monocoque body that takes 200 hours to carve out of a solid block of aluminium.

So much for the 'unibody' 'solid block of aluminium' design for the HTC One. LOL!

While this may technically not qualify for the "unibody" moniker, HTC's Vice President of China Lin Zurong told us that the removable cover and its accompanying parts at the top and bottom are cut out from the same piece of aluminum

HTC won't beat Samsung for two reasons. Two reasons is enough:

1) Intensive marketing from Samsung. HTC does not have enough money to match it.
2) Many people have been 'badly burnt' by previous HTC products. Good luck getting them to have confidence in the HTC brand again.

Another (very small) reason to probably not get the HTC One:

Some of its components (microphone and camera sensor) are manufactured by ST Microelectronics. You know who owns ST Microelectronics.
