來往金鐘站和中環站暫停;
來往荃灣站和金鐘站維持3.5分鐘一班;

He said that the MTR was conducting a new signal test at the Central Link of the Tsuen Wan Line last night. During the period, there were two trains colliding near the Central Station. It was initially believed that the accident was a new signal at nighttime non-traffic time test.

He pointed out that the MTR has completely suspended the testing of new signal systems under non-traffic time without passengers. The cause of the accident needs to be investigated in depth. Since the train has a protection system, that is, when a train enters a section, other trains should not be able to enter the section, but why the accident still occurs and the MTR will conduct an investigation. In the accident, one of the two bogies involved in the train deviated from the rail. Due to the need for renovation, the service from the Central Link to Admiralty Station on the Tsuen Wan Line will not be available today.

Hong Kong Island Central Commander Dong Guoqiang said that when the firefighters arrived, they found two trains colliding on the platform of the Central Railway Station on the Tsuen Wan Line to the height of 100 meters. The head of a train to Central was damaged and a train heading for Tsuen Wan. 3, 4 truck compartments were damaged, 2 trains were unloaded passengers, 2 captains were not trapped, and were rescued by firefighters, one of them was sent to the hospital.

The train involved.

[Sing Tao Daily reported] A train collision occurred at the Central Railway Station of the MTR Tsuen Wan Line. A car owner was injured and sent to the hospital. Affected by the accident, the service of the Tsuen Wan Line to Admiralty and Central Station was suspended throughout the day.

The incident occurred at about 3 am when the MTR was conducting a signalling system test. A train from Queensway Station to Central Station collided with another train from Central Station to Admiralty Station. The length of the train was injured. The firefighters arrived and rescued the captain from the hospital.

A spokesman for the MTR said that after the safety of the engineering staff, the service of the Tsuen Wan Line to the Admiralty and Central Station was suspended. The Tsuen Wan and Admiralty Stations were maintained for three and a half minutes. The spokesman also appealed to passengers to turn to Admiralty Station. On the Hong Kong Island Line, passengers may also consider using other railway lines or other means of transport.

MTR's Director of Vehicles, Liu Tiancheng, said that he apologized to the affected passengers for this incident. He initially believed that the accident was related to the non-traffic time test of the new signal system at night. The MTR has now suspended all non-traffic time and no passengers. Under the new signal system test, as for the actual cause of the accident, it still needs to be investigated in depth.

He also pointed out that due to the accident, the two bogies of one of the trains deviated from the rails and it was timed to repair. The Tsuen Wan Line Central Station to Admiralty Station will not be able to provide services. Traffic control measures will be carried out during peak hours.

Dong Guoqiang, deputy commander of the Central District of the Fire Island, said that the accident occurred 100 meters outside the platform of the Queensway Station at the Central Link of the Tsuen Wan Line. Two trains collided. One of the trains heading for Central was damaged and the other went to Tsuen Wan. The 3rd and 4th trucks of the train were damaged. The two trains involved were unloaded passengers. The two captains were also not trapped in the accident. They were assisted by firefighters and one of them was sent to the hospital.

[Sing Tao Daily reported] Two trains on the MTR Tsuen Wan Line collided near the Central Station during the test of the new signal in the early morning. The two vehicles were seriously damaged. The two bogies deviated from the track due to the collision and it took time to rehabilitate. The services of the Tsuen Wan Line to Admiralty and Central Station were suspended throughout the day.

The MTR pointed out that at present, the suspension of services from Central Station to Admiralty Station, passengers travelling between Admiralty and Central Station should be converted to the Island Line. From Admiralty Station to Tsuen Wan Station, it will maintain a bus every 3.5 minutes. The MTR has specially deployed additional staff to help guide the flow of people on the platform of the Queensway Station on the Tsuen Wan Line. It also instructed passengers how to transfer from the Tsuen Wan Line to the lower level to the Island Line. During the working hours, the Admiralty Station was not forced to explode, and the shift was normal. Some members of the public pointed out that the train stayed at Tsim Sha Tsui Station for about 3 minutes. I believe that because of the need to mobilize the train, it also stayed in the tunnel for about 1 minute while driving to Admiralty Station.

The MTR appeals to passengers to consider using other modes of transport or to use other routes of the MTR network.

During the testing of the new signalling system at the MTR Tsuen Wan Line, two trains collided between Central and Admiralty Stations, resulting in the suspension of the full-day service from Queensway to Central on the Tsuen Wan Line. The traffic service at the location on the 18th may not be available tomorrow (18th). Recovery, this is the first time that the train collision has occurred in the MTR for nearly 40 years.

The source disclosed to Hong Kong 01 that it was scheduled to use the new signal system last night to test the simultaneous exit and entry of the Central Terminus. However, an accident occurred during the test, or it was related to the failure of the protection software function of the new system, so that the deviation of the distance between the two trains was calculated, causing the two trains involved to collide at the hinged position of the central station, even if the speed was not at that time. It's fast, but there is still a strong collision.

The new signal system of the Tsuen Wan Line was originally scheduled to be gradually put into service in the second half of this year, and the implementation of "dual system operation" means that the new and old systems operate simultaneously at the driving time to enable the new system to be successfully put into service. Therefore, since last year, the MTR has started testing the new signal system of the Tsuen Wan Line at night. However, in the early morning of today (18th), a train was taken from Central Station and entered the crossing line in the direction of Admiralty Station. The other train also entered the crossing line from Admiralty Station to Central Station, causing the trains to collide. The CCP 3 truck compartment was damaged.

According to the source, if the protection system of the signal system can function, it should be required to stop the train instead of still entering the section of the road. (provided by the source)

According to the source, if the protection system of the signal system can function, it should be required to stop the train instead of still entering the section of the road. (provided by the source)

The source explained to the "Hong Kong 01" that the design of the Central Station was originally designed to be used for the re-route of the main station. It is similarly designed except for the Tsuen Wan Line Central, the Island Island Chai Wan and the Kwun Tong Line.

However, an accident occurred during the test of the new signal system of the Tsuen Wan Line. The source explained the signal system indication map of the incident. It pointed out that the (24) train shown in red in the lower left corner of the map was originally opened by the platform on the 2nd floor of the Central Link of Tsuen Wan Line. To the platform of Admiralty No. 1, the trajectory is purple-blue, and the golden bell is crossed to the upper right corner. At the same time, the CEN_04 train in the lower right corner of the map is from the platform of the Golden Bell No. 4 on the Tsuen Wan Line to the Central Ring No. 1. On the platform, if the relevant protection device is in normal operation, the CEN_04 train should theoretically stop, and should not appear in the purple-blue upper left track, but through the black arrow to the central ring.

However, during the test of the new system, CEN_04 under the computer's trajectory, knowing that there was a middle ring to the Admiralty train at the same time. After the intersection, the two trains were still arranged in the computer to collide in automatic mode.

The source continued, the new signal system has a protective software function, which can correctly detect the distance between the train and the train, to avoid the train distance is too close to collide. Therefore, the accident occurred. Whether the protection software function of the new signal system can function is also a survey direction. "It may be the computer error-protection software function, which makes the distance of the wrong train travel. It may also be computer software. An Error has occurred.

When the Hong Kong Railways Director Liu Tiancheng saw the reporter's account at noon today, he also mentioned that if the automatic protection device of the new signal system can work, it should not allow two trains to enter the same section of the road, so it will be included in the survey. Within the scope.

During the incident, it was learned that the train driver responsible for driving from Central to Admiralty had found a train in front and immediately launched an Emergency Stick, but still failed to prevent the train from colliding. The source explained that the normal train travels at a speed of 20 to 30 kilometers per hour. However, after the driver presses the emergency vehicle during the incident, the estimated speed is at most 10 kilometers or less, but the body is very heavy, so after the two trains collide, The damage to the car is still very serious. It is also said that "even if the speed is reduced to a few kilometers, it will hit hard."

The Clementi rail accident was a rail accident that occurred on the East West line of the Singapore Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) in 1993. It was the MRT's first major incident and resulted in 156 passengers being injured. It was caused by a 50-litre (11 imp gal; 13 US gal) oil spill.
Contents
Background
The MRT commenced operations in 1987, with the stretch of line from Outram Park MRT station to Jurong East MRT station opening on 12 March 1988. At the time of the accident, the system had been operating for six years.[1]
Incident
Before the start of service, a maintenance vehicle leaked oil onto the tracks from Buona Vista MRT station to Clementi MRT station until the junction with Ulu Pandan Depot. The first 10 westbound trains reported braking difficulties. The eleventh train, a C151, had to use its emergency brakes to stop at the station. At 7.50 am on 5 August 1993, the 12th train, another C151, collided with the stationary C151 at Clementi while it was recharging its batteries, resulting in 156 injuries.[1][2]
Investigation
Preliminary investigation showed that the cause of the accident was a 50-litre (11 imp gal; 13 US gal) oil spill caused by a defective rubber ring on a maintenance locomotive.[3]
Aftermath
Response
In the aftermath of the accident, SMRT said that it would replace the faulty maintenance locomotives and purchase new ones. It also introduced a new policy for station managers to inspect tracks for oil or foreign objects before the start of service.[1]

On Aug. 5, 1993, a collision occurred between two trains at the station during the morning peak hour rush at 7.50am. It was due to a technical fault.
A west-bound train towards Jurong East had stopped at the station for two minutes longer than scheduled and the stationary train was hit in its rear-end by the next train.

The force of the crash caused many passengers on board both trains to be flung against the panels and railings within the carriages, while some were piled on top of one another.
In total, 156 passengers were injured.
Independent inquiry
The accident also caused Clementi, Buona Vista and Commonwealth stations to be down for the day, but their operations resumed the next day after intensive checks were carried out by MRT Corporation’s (later renamed to SMRT) engineers.
Following the accident, the MRT Corporation set up an independent inquiry panel to investigate the incident.
The panel included then deputy director-general of the Public Works Department Chua Koon Hoe, deputy chairman of the Public Transport Council Chang Meng Teng, and principal of Temasek Polytechnic Natarajan Varaprasad.
The investigation found that the accident was caused by a 50-litre oil spill from a maintenance locomotive which had been carrying out maintenance work at about 5am on the same morning of the accident.

Oil had leaked out from the maintenance locomotive and onto the tracks that stretched from Buona Vista to the Ulu Pandan depot. The leak was caused by a broken rubber ring on the maintenance train.

Investigations also found that, while a cleaning crew had been alerted, the spill was not cleaned up due to some confusion amidst the station masters’ change of shifts.
Following the inquiry’s findings, SMRT revised its operating procedures to ensure that such accidents would not happen again.
Despite the accident, a Straits Times article two days after the accident on Aug. 7, 1993, reported that commuters’ confidence in the MRT system were still high after what happened.
With the latest crash at Joo Koon coming on the back of many disruptions, however, commuters’ confidence in SMRT look set to sink further.

SINGAPORE: An SMRT train collided with a stationary train at Joo Koon MRT station on Wednesday (Nov 15) during the morning rush hour. A total of 29 people have been admitted to hospital.
The incident led to a delay along the East-West Line - one of two faults which hit Singapore's train system on Wednesday morning. Train service on the North-South Line was also delayed during the evening peak hour.

Here's a timeline of events:
8.18am: A train heading in the direction of Tuas Link station stalled at Joo Koon station.

8.19am: A second train stopped behind the first faulty train. A minute later, the second train "moved forward unexpectedly" and collided with the first train.
8.25am: SMRT advised commuters via Twitter that there will be a 20-minute delay along the East-West Line between Jurong East and Joo Koon stations due to a train fault at Joo Koon station.

8.26am: Facebook user Mei Anne said she was on a train that collided with the stationary one, and was hurt in the incident.
8.33am: SCDF said it was alerted to an incident near Joo Koon MRT station.
8.37am: SMRT revised its announcement, informing commuters travelling between Jurong East and Tuas Link stations that their commute will be extended by 30 minutes.
9.26am: The train operator said the 30-minute delay affected commuters travelling between Queenstown and Tuas Link stations.

9.58am: Passengers travelling between Jurong East and Tuas Link stations can expect a 15-minute delay, said SMRT.
10.31am: In another update on Twitter, SMRT asked those travelling between Boon Lay and Tuas Link stations to expect an extra 10 minutes during their commute.

10.42am: SCDF issued a statement on Facebook, saying 23 passengers have been taken to hospital - most of them with minor injuries.

11.05am: The platform for trains travelling towards Tuas Link was partially cordoned off.

11.12am: SMRT and the Land Transport Authority (LTA) issued a joint statement confirming the incident, saying they are investigating. They added that 23 passengers and two SMRT staff sustained "light to moderate" injuries and were taken to Ng Teng Fong Hospital, as well as National University Hospital.

Noon: The trains were still on the platform. Train services were slow as the platform for trains travelling towards Tuas Link was cordoned off.

12.29pm: More than 15 SMRT staff wearing bright orange vests were seen on the platform near the affected trains.

2pm: SMRT issued an update on Facebook that train service will be suspended for two hours between Joo Koon and Tuas Link stations in both directions. This is to "facilitate the recovery" of the two trains that were involved in the collision, said SMRT.

3.21pm: One of the trains involved in the collision was pulled away in the direction of Tuas Link MRT station.

4.06pm: The second train involved was moved off.
4.14pm: LTA and SMRT updated the number of people injured to 28, including three walk-ins at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.
Out of the 15 people sent to the National University Hospital, one declined treatment and returned home while 13 of those who received treatment have been discharged.
One passenger is currently warded for observation.
LTA and SMRT added that out of the 13 injured at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, nine were treated and discharged, two are being treated, and two others are warded for observation.

5.15pm: SMRT tweeted that train services between Boon Lay and Tuas Link have resumed "but are running slower". It also advised commuters to add 10 minutes travel time between Jurong East and Tuas Link.
6.30pm: LTA and SMRT held a press conference and explained how a signalling software glitch caused the accident. A total of 517 people were on the affected train.
11.24pm: LTA and SMRT updated the number of people injured to 29, including another walk-in from an injured passenger at around 7.30pm in the evening.
Of the 14 injured who were admitted to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital - including the new walk-in - 11 have been discharged and two remain warded for observation. The new patient is being treated.

SINGAPORE - The SMRT train collision on Wednesday morning (Nov 15), which saw 25 people injured, was the second such incident in MRT's 30-year history.
On Aug 5, 1993, a damaged rubber ring set off a chain of events that led to the collision between two trains at Clementi MRT station, leaving about 160 passengers injured.
The ring broke, causing 50 litres of oil to drip onto the tracks from a locomotive doing maintenance during non-passenger hours.
A Jurong East-bound train had stopped at the station for two minutes longer than scheduled due to a technical fault. It was then hit by another train when the automatic train protection system failed because of the spilt oil.
Jammed train doors were forced open to help injured passengers out. Passengers were treated for head injuries, spinal injuries, fractures and minor bruises, among other injuries.
A panel of inquiry set up then to look into the incident said that the collision could have been prevented had MRT staff dealt with the oil spill "sufficiently aggressively or promptly".

The panel consisted of officials from the then-Public Works Department, Public Transport Council, Temasek Polytechnic and The Mass Rapid Transit Corporation (MRTC) - SMRT’s earlier incarnation.
All hoses and oil seals on such locomotives were replaced as a result of the incident and new locomotives with a different type of engine which is not prone to oil leaks were also purchased.

More than 150 compensation claims were filed.
In the latest incident, injured passengers suffered sprains, limb fractures and joint dislocation.
SMRT will be holding a press conference about the incident at 6.30pm on Wednesday.

The accident occurred at about 3 am today. The train was undergoing a signal test. It was suspected that the bogie of one of the trains deviated from the rail, causing serious collisions between the two cars. After the accident, the Tsuen Wan Line traveled to Central to Admiralty. The section of the subway has temporarily stopped serving.

MTR's car director Liu Tiancheng said that the train has a protection system. When entering a section, his train should not be able to enter at the same time, but it did not avoid the accident. The actual cause of the accident needs further investigation.

[MTR crash] Ms. Zheng Qunxing, the chief operating officer of MTR: The bad car will be towed away until it is closed tonight.

During the test of the new signal system at about 3 am today (18th), the MTR had a train collision between Central and Admiralty Station. The Tsuen Wan line from Admiralty to Central was suspended throughout the day. During the radio interview, Ms. Zheng Qunxing, the chief operating officer of MTR, said that at about 2:45 in the morning, two trains were not collided with the passenger train for a new signal test. The two bogies of one train deviated from the position and the repair took time. After waiting for the car tonight, I can drag it back to the depot and assess the damage. He also pointed out that there have been no similar incidents in the impression. As for the recovery of the traffic, he said that he would know later, and further news will be announced in the afternoon.

Zheng Qunxing pointed out that one of the captains had a bruise on his right foot and the other captain was not injured. The two were sent to the hospital for examination. Initially, the accident was related to the testing of the new signal system. The two bogies of one train deviated from the rails. The time required for the rehabilitation took place. The services of the Tsuen Wan Line to Admiralty and Central Station were not restored today. At the Tsuen Wan and Admiralty Stations, the MTR will maintain a three-and-a-half-minute bus. The MTR will step up its broadcasting and additional manpower. It will implement crowd control when necessary and will appeal to Central Station passengers to transfer to the Island Line at Admiralty.

Before the confirmation event, all nights will be suspended.

He said that before the investigation confirmed the incident, all new night signal tests will be suspended, and passengers can continue to use the MTR service. At present, the Tsuen Wan Line takes the Admiralty Station as the terminus. He said that the preliminary investigation of the two trains at the Central Station "hinged position" was not a head-on collision. "One left the Central, one was ready to enter the station, not head to head, just rubbed into the body. See one of the trains. The deflector deviates from the rail."

No similar incident occurred in the impression

He continued to explain that since the Central Station rail is not a single rail, "going to the Central Station has a road hinged and sheared position, there is a way to go to other rails, and the train will collide when going to another rail." He said that the bad car will be taken back when necessary. "Other trains cannot be towed back to the depot when they are going on. They have to wait until the night to pick up the car before they can tow the bad car and assess the damage. It will take a while to know (recovery)." He admitted that the impression did not occur. Similar incidents will investigate the protection system and further information will be announced in the afternoon.

As to whether it will affect the time for the new signal system to be put into service in the future, Mr. Zheng Qun Hing estimates that there is an impact and acknowledges that the accident has not occurred. The Transport Department has been notified immediately and the bus company has been notified to implement the flow control when necessary. He has repeatedly stressed that the MTR must take safety as the first priority and will not conduct passenger train tests during non-traffic periods.

Lu Jueqiang pointed out that if the train was full, passengers would collide at normal driving speed, and the train would be listed.

A rare train collision occurred on the MTR. The trains on the 3rd and 4th of the trains in Tsuen Wan were hit by twists and turns, the doors flew off, the glass windows shattered, and the seats were "fried up". Lu Juqiang, an academician of the British Society of Mechanical Engineers, said that the train should only run at a speed of about 20 kilometers per hour. If the passengers were full of passengers at the normal speed, it is believed that the train has been listed and the casualties are heavy. The consequences are unimaginable. .

Lu Juqiang estimates that the train may be moving slowly at the time of the incident. According to the train running at 22 km/h, it can generate 163 tons of force, while the train weighs more than 200 嚬, so the train can still be "it" by its own weight. Live, there is no complete derailment. However, if the train travels at 60 km/h, it can generate 446 hp, enough to hit the entire train off the rail.

He questioned whether there was any supervision during the MTR test, otherwise there was no reason for a collision, and the company was urged to thoroughly investigate the cause of the accident and prevent the accident from happening again.

Li Jiarun (White) admitted that the restoration work was quite difficult.

[Sing Tao Daily reported] During the test of the new signal system in the morning of the MTR, two train collisions occurred. The MTR acknowledged that the incident was serious. Due to the high level of difficulty in the rehabilitative work, the MTR is expected to resume the service of the Tsuen Wan Line to the Admiralty to the Admiralty in the morning and call on the public to keep an eye on the latest situation.

Li Jiarun, the director of MTR's vehicle maintenance project, admitted that the repair work was quite difficult at noon. Because the two trains were damaged to varying degrees, one of the trains derailed, and the damage to the rails and train damage was checked. The engineers were going to be damaged. The trains are moving away, but as the non-travel time is only 3 hours tonight, it is expected that the train service from the Tsuen Wan Line to Central to Admiralty may not be resumed tomorrow morning to remind the public to keep an eye on the latest situation.
