A Stomper has raised concerns over a large group of road cyclists seen occupying multiple lanes along Upper Thomson Road early in the morning on May 6.
According to Stomper
Flo, the incident happened just after dawn and said there were 'hordes' of cyclists.
"It's extremely dangerous to both the bikers and the motorists!" she said.
A video shared by the Stomper shows dozens of cyclists riding in a large group.
According to the
Land Transport Authority, cyclists must keep to a maximum length of five bicycles when riding in groups, which means a maximum of five cyclists when riding in single file, or 10 cyclists when riding two abreast on roads with more than one lane.
Cyclists are also advised to always ride as close as practicable to the far left edge of roads to allow traffic to overtake them safely.
Cyclists who are caught flouting the cycling group size rule will be fined $150.
