Saf rations vs rations of other countries

I remember not too long ago, Yeo's canned curry chicken was part of the set of combat rations.

Now all you get are those green packs, maggi noodles, biscuits and some instant beverages. ;)

reminds me of breakfast in the Police Academy in early 90's...........

bread made by prison inmates (surprisingly nice)...........butter........kaya..........hard-boiled egg..........tea without milk......

one cop from the USA was there for a while and looked disgusted..............

Those nations actually see combat, that's why they have nice rations.

Ours is wayang army, make rations so nice for what. Just make a few, wayang a bit, call it combat rations loh.

That's not the standard SAF pack, they left out the 2nd pack which have biscuits, fruit bars, milo/coffe, instant noodles, etc

Hmph

No wonder ranked 150 in Press Freedom 2014. Others 'pasar malam' for u to see while....

The SAF entrees are lousy tasting, heavy and takes up space. We always threw away the entrees but take the maggi mee, biscuits and deserts during jungle training

Big improvement... so? Be a grateful gong kia and thank Mindef for giving you the privilege to serve NS?

Not surprised that so little attention has been paid to the welfare of the troops. Why spend $$$ on "lesser mortals"" when there is little profit to be made:confused:

It all about profit. The PAP would rather spend on expensive hardware because it gives them bragging rights among our neighbours. There are also other perks such as kickbacks, foreign holidays, being entertained by vendors,...

That's why if there is a war with Indon, when I am outfield, I hope there is dinner break for me to go back and eat in the cookhouse.

the last time i tried to give glutenious rice(in green pak one) to a dog around lim chu kang, the dog run away leh. and i thought most dogs eat rice.

This one have? Just in case?

Spain issues many condoms to their soldiers. :p

SAF only gives three condoms for each overseas reservist training, and they're of lousy quality too.

Cheapskate SAF, have money to buy fancy military toys, no money to at least buy some proper Durex condoms. :oIo:

Why not defect to Indonesia... you'll get authentic nasi padang and ayam penyet.

Only fools risk life and limb to defend Singapore.
