Kiwi-land: Ruler Loong says Peasantpore should brace for slower growth ahead despite the best efforts of his well paid minions and lackeys, even as a technical recession may be avoided for now by creative accounting.
Speaking at the end of his working visit to Kiwi-land to study why Kiwi-land is less corrupt than Peasantpore despite having cheaper minions and lackeys, Ruler Loong told reporters that Peasantpore's GDP numbers for the second quarter 2012 "may look a little better than the first estimates" using sleight of the hand accounting.
"KNNCCB, want to cut my pay using recession as an excuse is it, wait long long ok. I not Mathematics trained for nothing hor. I just got pay cut mid year and want me to lose face with recession figures, no way man," he sneered.
Peasantpore's economy shrank 0.7 per cent in the April-June quarter from the first quarter, based on advance estimates from the Ministry of Trade and Industry lackeys, implying a technical recession. Ruler Loong said if his well paid lackeys can make final Q2 numbers turn out to be positive, then a technical recession and pay cut will not happen for a while.
Ruler Loong conceded a technical recession later may be unavoidable in the future despite creative accounting because the Yanks and European Ang Mohs are still mired in their credit and debt crisis. Ruler Loong claimed that slow growth and budget deficits implies that Peasantpore will not have a lot of margin for error. He crowed this is the reason why the island needs to keep its economy strong by using cheap foreign labour to attract investments.
Turning to calls by some stupid peasants for the regime to focus less on material aspirations, Ruler Loong said it is up to him and the Imperial Court to find the right balance between growth, social considerations and quality of life. Less growth will see less profits to run his Amakudari setup and fund his lackeys+minions' loyalty and probably dismantle his regime.
Ruler Loong said there also needs to be dynamism and buzz so that there will be Peasantpore will not end up like dole addicted, lazy Kiwis and Aussies who merely live off the fat of their lands.
One key challenge, Ruler Loong said, is to make local and foreign peasants toil beyond 44 hours per work week to maintain Soviet growth rate.
